MEETING RESULTS OF JAN 16 PPO MEETING:

· Spring Raffle (We need a person to be in charge)

We'd like the students to bring in the prizes just as we did for the Wine Raffle. We will regroup the prizes per cycle, so we can have 3 prizes. We can still find 1 or 2 big prizes but it will be less on us! I need one person to be in charge so I can exchange emails and information with that person. Anyone????

· Open House. (Everyone please come to welcome visitors)

Please come next Wednesday at 6:00 pm to welcome our visitors. It’s always nice to have the team there to show the guests how good we are and a team! We need 4 volunteers from 3:45 to 6:00 to help downstairs supervising the students who will stay for the open house (Flutenvol students, students council and circus), around 35 students. So far I have Marlene and Michele who confirmed to me…. Still waiting for Sonya and Nadine to confirm… Please do so by using reply to all so all of us can see if I am missing someone….. Your supper will be provided so if you wish to stay after at 6:00 pm to be with us, that would be great!

We talked about the distribution of the flyers and publicity for the parking to rent. I need volunteers to distribute the flyers around the area… It’s start now! I have 300 flyers ready. Nadine and Cheryl F accepted to start distributing them. We need more help………

· Garage Sale (We need a person to be in charge)

May 23rd is a good date. we will verify the dates with St-Eustache and the city We want a second date as well in case of rain. It has to be a Saturday. GB will try to combine our event with the Holy Family to attract more people.

Michele will try to have a radio station to come.

I need a person in charge of that event so I can have only her to exchange information and she can transfer the info to all of you after…. Who wants to be in charge of the garage sale?

We need a sub-committee to help the person in charge. Volunteers????

As soon as I have the person in charge, maybe we can do a short meeting to clarify the role of each task to start planning. We need to present everything to GB in February but we need to be ready with some confirmation and some info like the city and the dates….. We also agreed on the price to rent of the table: 15$ per spot and 5$ extra if they need an extra table.

So far we have: Cheryl F., Gina, Helen, Nadine, Jennifer, Sonya and Nadine.

Mr. Davis will draw the design of the installation of tables in the yard on his return from holidays in February.

Jennifer, can you reserve all the tables you have at Mountainview and can you reserve the tables at LTM as well

Good news, I recruited a new member: Julie Bellefleur, one of our lunch supervisors, is joining the team. Welcome on board Julie and thank you. Julie will distribute flyers for our open house. So please add her email to the group…: whitton@videotron.ca

EVENT IDEAS:

HUNGER GAMES - a sponsorship challenge. find 5 families willing to go on a third world diet for a week, they could donate what they save in groceries and people or companies could sponsor them so much per day that they stay on the diet or match their grocery savings, it would be a chance to teach the kids about poverty and also about healthy ways to eat for less.

FUNDRAISING IDEAS:

BOXING DAY DONATION people are tapped out after Christmas but maybe they wouldn't mind boxing up a boxing day dud for a raffle or garage sale donation?

RAFFLE BUNDLE IDEAS:

RIDE THE RAILS: a bundle including things like via rail tickets, amt tickets, exporail tickets, a train toy
