SUSAN G. SCOTT
Design Process:

You may choose to use your own photographs or have professional children's portrait photographer visit your home to photograph your child. You wil select the best 20 and from these I will make three selections upon which I will base my initial studies in acrylic on paper. Any "Say cheese!" or giggling pictures will not be included. The photos are the basis for a serious work of art that will exude a classic timlessness and dignity in your home.

Children must be between the ages of 1 and 13. An infant below the age of one will not possess the fully-formed facial features or expressions that will be easily identifiable when that child ages. A teenager older than 14 is very likely to be overly self-critical and self-conscious of any portait of themselves.

Before and After examples

Three studies on paper measuring 22 x 30 inches will be completed. Prints of these studies will be sent to you from which you will make your choice for your final portrait. Ultimately, you will be able to keep an original study of your choice, along with the finished painting.

The finished painting is acrylic on canvas and is offered in several size options. Your painting arrives ready to hang—stretched canvas on a wooden frame. You may add a decorative frame if you like.
